Where we are / How to find us...
Borth is a small seaside town in Mid Wales, just a few miles north of the University town of Aberystwyth.
By rail, it's easy to find, it's the last stop but one on the Cambrian Main Line, with direct 2-hourly trains from Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Airport.
If you can find your way to Birmingham or Shrewsbury, then you're only a relatively short train ride away.
By bus, there is an hourly service from Aberystwyth - look for buses numbers 4 and 512 from the bus terminus outside Aberystwyth Railway Station.
If on the other hand, you're travelling here by car, your best bet is to make your way to either Aberystwyth or Machynlleth - both prominent local towns.
From Aberystwyth, take the nothbound A487 (signposted Machynlleth) for about 4 miles into the village of Bow Street. About a 3/4 of a mile into the village you'll see a turn-off on the left hand side, conveniently marked 'Borth'. Take that road, through the village of Llandre, and you'll eventually come to Borth. Arriving at Borth, you'll come to a roundabout, with the RNLI Lifeboat house directly in front of you. Take the road to the right, and drive carefully through the village until there are no buildings on the left hand side. The next junction to the right takes you to the railway station. Park up, grab your camera, and prepare for a nostalgia fix!
From Machynlleth, head due south on the A487 (signposted Aberystwyth) for about 9 miles. Turn right opposite the garage and the Wildfowler pub, and follow the road (signposted Borth). In about 4 miles you'll arrive at Borth seafront. Follow the road into Borth until you see a junction on your left hand side. Take that turning and Borth Station is right in front of you.
